Meet Our Collaborators

Anik Ferron
Anik Ferron holds a master's degree in sexology and a research doctorate in psychology. Her doctoral research focused on marital and sexual satisfaction in couples who watched pornography and exhibited infidelity, taking into account attachment and personality variables. For the past ten years, she has been teaching at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières as a lecturer in the psychology department. She has also been practicing in a private office since 2007 using the EFT approach. She has completed the core skills training in EFT and is an ICEEFT-certified EFT therapist.
Anik collaborates with EFT Quebec as editor of the newsletter and in the organization of the externship and core skills trainings.

Jean-Marc Perreault
Jean-Marc Perreault, M.Ed. is a member of the OPQ since 2003. Having worked in the Canadian Northwest for 10 years, he is currently based in the Mascouche area where he practices at Axe Humanité, a clinic he co-founded in 2018. Owning a diverse experience in the field of psychology, he mainly uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with individuals and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with couples. He is in the process of obtaining his certification as an EFT therapist. To do so, he is currently focusing on couples therapy. Before diving into the world of EFT, Jean-Marc continued to offer trainings in ACT with the Institute of Contextual Psychology. He is known for his passion and ability to deliver content in an engaging way. Jean-Marc is the father of 4 children, including twins. He enjoys spending time with his family, loves to learn and is deeply stimulated by team projects!

Kathleen (Kay) Taylor Lespérance
After beginning a bachelor's degree in psychology at Bishop's University at age 50, Kay earned a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Jackson Reformed Theological Seminary in Mississippi. It was after attending a lecture by Sue Johnson that Kay developed her interest in emotionally focused therapy. Since then, she has taken several courses in Montreal and Ottawa through the ICEEFT. She is also involved in individual supervision with ICEEFT trainer Normand Gingras. In June 2023, Kay will retire at the age of 80, after a very rewarding 20 year career in the EFT approach.
Kay collaborates with us in the translation of videos for our bilingual events.

Brenda Ramos
Brenda is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at the Université de Montréal. She has clinical experience in emotionally focused couples therapy, as well as research experience in the marital field.
Brenda collaborates with EFT Quebec in the simultaneous translation of bilingual events as well as in the translation of videos for our bilingual events.

Marie-Pier Gilbert
Marie-Pier is an ICEEFT-certified EFT therapist. She completed her studies in sexology at UQÀM and obtained a clinical master's degree from Adler University in British Columbia. She is the owner and founder of Authentic Counselling in Vancouver, where she offers bilingual services. Marie-Pier specializes in the treatment of complex traumas in both individual and marital therapy. On the sexology front, Marie-Pier works with individuals presenting difficulties ranging from addiction to sexual aversion, as well as symptoms related to sexual dysfunction. Her goal is to accompany adults and couples towards relational and sexual fulfillment, while maintaining an inclusive lens on diversity. To complement her expertise in EFT, Marie-Pier is actively working towards obtaining her license in hypnotherapy.
